My Take

So, I may use this website a little differently than other language arts/literature/writing teachers, in that I don't use it to plan specific lessons on particular days. For my college writing classroom, though, I can easily browse and find the inspiration for an activity via a handout, article, or link. If you are using it for lesson plan, though, it is definitely an fantastic website.
The main attribute of this website is the thorough and well-organized files for lesson plans/teaching plans of all kinds; it's very simple to navigate and curate a specific search for whatever class or grade a teacher needs to find. I know many teachers who use this website; it's essentially for teachers, and it's a very valuable resource!

How I Use It

I go to the website when planning a literature lesson. Type in the keyword search "Edgar Allan Poe," which results in a few specific lesson plans. I click on one and open up a page with a well-organized tab section that includes: Preview (an nice overview of the lesson plan)Resources, Standards, Instructional plan, Related Resources, Reviews (of the lesson plan), and options for printing/emailing/saving. Thus, I've saved myself time and found an interesting way to introduce Poe, along with handouts.
Not only is the website well-organized and easy to navigate, it also includes substantial, intellectual plans - for free! Bookmark this one - anyone who teaches language arts, English, ESL, Reading - you will use it!
