My Take
This is an excellent standalone phonics app. This one is not one of those where you download and get stuck after 10 minutes, because you've completed the free content. It has PAGES and PAGES of content for phonics. It's amazing how much is in this app.
How I Use It
I love this app and I hope my teachers use it during centers. I put it in the Words K-2 folder for teachers to use the past three years.

Great for Teaching Rules of Phonics
This app is somewhat boring. It is great to work on sounds, but it only reads the words. The students lose interest quickly. It does not have fun colors or graphics. It is not a fun app for students. It is an informative app to use to further understanding of what they are learning.

This app is great for students in grade 1-6 who need additional exposure to phonics and multi-syllabic words.
Often times, students have difficulty applying basic phonics skills and patters to more difficult and multi-syllabic words. I really liked how this app allows students to use basic phonetic patterns in simple and more complex words. The students I used this with were eager to see the next word and were engaged in trying to decode the more difficult words. It was nice to use an app that had words sorted into the various vowel patterns, blends, and digraphs already.
