My Take

I really like OneDrive as a collaborative resource. Students can work together on a document or presentation. In most cases, they are able to work easily to create a polished product. I also like that students are able to work on documents, no matter what the platform, and share them with me. I don't need to worry about emails not coming through, flash drives not working, or printers being broken. I have had issues with OneDrive not working at times, but for the most part it has been pretty reliable.

How I Use It

I've used OneDrive for several different purposes. For example, I've used it for student led presentations. During my mythology unit, students worked with partners to research a Greek god or goddess. They worked together on different components of the PowerPoint presentation. Through OneDrive, they were both able to work on the presentation at the same time. They were also able to share the presentation with me so that it would be available on my teacher computer for the in class presentations. This worked really well. One slight problem was that the PowerPoints didn't always update quickly enough as the partners are working on them. Another issue what occurred when students forgot to share they presentations with me. I could not access the PowerPoints and the students needed to return to the computer lab and share their presentations with me before they were able to present.
