My Take

I think OneDrive is great if you have Office 365. It makes it very easy to collaborate and share documents without printing paper. I like how I can edit documents via the web or have the choice to edit in the desktop version of applications like PowerPoint or Word. Most importantly, I appreciate the flexibility and accessibility that OneDrive allows with any device: desktop computer, iPad, Android device, or Windows phones. I look forward to using it more this year as we get more educators and students using the application for research and moving towards more paperless options for sharing and acquiring student work.

How I Use It

I've used OneDrive to share OneNote notebooks with teachers and students. Sharing them this way ensures that everyone can get to the most recent notebooks because I can make changes and updates to the notebook at anytime and from any device. It also means that teachers and/or students can edit, view, or comment on the notebooks as I assign. Because we have Office 365, it makes it very easy to integrate other Office products with OneDrive. If you are using OneDrive alone you may not have as much freedom, collaboration, and flexibility. Students and teachers have enjoyed accessing OneNote notebooks from OneDrive because they can get to them on any device.
