My Take
The free version would be a good tool for anyone that has small classes. I was able to use all of the features with the free version. I like that I was able to scroll through all student responses quickly and could show student responses to the whole class easily. If you have large classes you would need to purchase the upgrade.
How I Use It
I created a free account to use for my presentations. I only used it once before I realized you really cannot do a lot with the free version. I teach large classes and it only allowed me to have 30 students view the presentation at once. I chose to try the upgrade so that my whole class could log into the presentation. It allows you to write questions, insert images, and present material very nicely. When I used it with my students they liked that they could see my presentation on their devices. I tried the draw feature that allowed students to draw an image. For example: Draw a diagram to go with the following word problem. I liked that I could see each student response instantly as they drew and I could show their drawings to the class. When I used the typing response feature, students did not like that they could not see their answers on their screen once it was submitted. At the end of my upgrade trial I chose not to purchase it because I had found another presentation tool that I wanted to use instead.
