My Take

Haiku Deck is awesome because it physically limits the amount of text you can put on a slide. This causes students to write in a concise way about what they will present, and gives them more face-time with their audience.

How I Use It

When teaching public speaking with the use of a visual aid, students get REALLY caught up in the digital creation portion, with less emphasis on the speech.

Often times, they find themselves making a REALLY pretty Power Point and having NO idea what they intend to actually say. This often leads to them going overboard with the text, typing everything the want to say on the slide, and then reading their screen instead of looking at their audience.
