My Take

What I really like about Haiku Deck is that it limits the text. When using Haiku Deck as part of an oral presentation, students need to know the content of the topic, and not depend on the visual to provide the information. The application accesses the student's camera roll for images, or they can use the provided ones (which are beautiful). Three slides, and that's it.

How I Use It

I have used Haiku Deck in ELA for students to illustrate themes, characters and settings. Students use it to visualize figurative language. In social studies they have used it to illustrate a branch of government, a position on a war, and important characters in history.
