Interactive propaganda using Google Sites!
Google sites is an awesome classroom tool! Not only do I have my own classroom webpage through Google sites, but my students create their own pages to use as portfolios and catalogs of writing and research. I really like the aspect of "blogging" for reflection because it allows the students to collaborate- online- in a professional manner. They are able to do this outside of class which frees up class time for other learning activities.
How I Use It
I used Google Sites in my classroom to enhance my unit on propaganda. Where traditionally students would create advertisements on paper, with Google they were able to electronically catalog all projects. Not only did this create an organized space to view all projects within a class, it granted the opportunity for collaboration both in and out of the classroom. The students were able to reflect on each other's work and blog suggestions, feedback, etc. Additionally, we were able to share our information with other classes to further other's learning of propaganda.
