My Take

Google Sites is a good tool for collaboration.

The nicest thing about Google Sites is that once it is created students can add content to the site with permission. They can add pages of information and include files and graphics.

Think of Google Sites like a knowledge site.

You can use Google Sites to build content with your students while having students use the site as a resource at the same time.

How I Use It

I created a Google Site for students to use as a resource and contribute at the same time. Students were learning a new technology so created the site with "how to" pages and help links.

As students learned the new technology they shared their own "how to" pages.

Students also shared cool features the technology had to offer and how to use the function.

One of the best things about Google Sites is the search capability.

You can search the site on a topic by typing in a keyword. This is great because you don't have to go through the entire site to find what you are looking for.

Although it took time to set up I would recommend Google Sites because it provides good collaboration.
