Currently I am an Instructional Technologist/Project Specialist in the higher education sector. My role is to research emerging academic technology, determine how it can enhance teaching and learning, and train faculty and students how to use the technology. My teaching experience comes from being a faculty member for over 13 years teaching technology courses and mentoring faculty on how to incorporate technology into their curriculum. For more than five years' I have been working in my community as a student advocate, mentor, and trainer, working with students, parents, educators, and administration to promote online safety and raise awareness about cyberbullying. As a mother of three teenage boys I gain most of my technology knowledge by learning the technology they use inside and outside of school.
