My Take
I love having the ability to record and add music where we don't have to worry about copyright and citing sources. Students can record their voices and then add in music before sharing out their finished piece to use in video projects or other areas. Finished recordings and compositions can be emailed out to share our work with the world, or shared to other apps to extend our learning.
How I Use It
I've used the Garageband app as a recording tool for students to create audio recordings of themselves reading scripts written in class. It's easy to record a great quality recording and then to share it out to use in other apps. It's often difficult to get clear recordings if you have to have students record inside a noisy classroom. Giving students the ability to record on an iPad with Garageband in a quiet area of the school allows their recording to be the best it can be!
