My Take

GarageBand is an excellent tool for composing, editing, and mixing music and original songs. But I've found that it's an application that has even more educational uses than I originally realized. Students can use GarageBand to record voiceovers in the background while they are using other apps as a way to outline the steps of what they are doing or talk through their thinking. Having this audio model or recording to jog their memory can help students solidify the knowledge and skills.

How I Use It

I would use GarageBand for providing audio feedback for student digital creations, for explaining in-depth assignments, reviewing word problem solutions, and so much more. I know using GarageBand as a supplement could greatly benefit ELL students and any student who could use auditory support to synthesize the visual way most information and assignments are presented.
