How Can I Teach with This Tool?

Teachers can use the free resources on Discovery Education to supplement their existing curriculum. Whether you're looking for lesson plans, worksheets, or virtual field trips, it's easy to get lost searching the massive collection on the site. Teachers can use Puzzlemaker with their own vocabulary to make crossword and other types of puzzles. Or they can flip their classroom, assigning specific videos or interactive activities to introduce new ideas at home. Students and parents will find a variety of programs, including WebMath (a math help site), Science Fair Central, annual science competitions, and more.

With the paid features, teachers can access math, social studies, and science digital textbooks, explore a variety of streaming media, and connect with other educators professionally. The streaming videos can be hit or miss, so make sure to screen for appropriateness. Also, check out the Builder Tools to create and select assignments and assessments for students.
