My Take

I think that this is a good web tool. Kids value other kids opinions and seek knowledge from their peers. Bookopolis is a great site for students to browse and it really gives them the opportunity to peruse books that they would not ordinarily pick up based on other students' recommendations. Unlike the library or bookstore, bookopolis is open 24/7 - no downtime.

How I Use It

Bookopolis is a great site for students to connect with other students to find books to read. Students can connect with one another, write book reviews, view book reviews and make recommendations about future book choices. It works well for all students - those who ravish reading and those still searching for the genre that best suits them. What I found difficult was setting things up as a teacher. While the process was relatively straight-forward to begin, it seemed to take me awhile to really get the flow and make sure it would work (the way I wanted) for my students.
