I don't think this website can be used as a teaching tool. Instead it could be used to help students develop interest in reading, find grade level appropriate books and engage with an online reading community just for young students.
How I Use It
I would assign students to find a book on this website, complete a summary and a book review on the website. It would be helpful for practicing writing skills.

Great and cute reading log!
This is a great website and has really fun backgrounds and colors to attract students to use it more often. Also, it is such a good idea for an online log reader.

Discover endless books!
Bookopolis is a great site for students to discover new books. The 'Book Ideas' section is really useful because they will find suggested books that are award winners, newly released, and liked by other readers. Reviews by other readers is a great feature to read their feedback on why they enjoyed or did not enjoy the novel. Leaving their own reviews encourages students to express their own opinions and use their writing skills. They can also practice digital citizenship as they write reviews.

I love the visuals and that it looks like you're in an actual bookstore. It is super easy to navigate and makes picking out a new book simple and fun!
