Best tool I’ve used for parent engagement—clear, polished, and incredibly effective, especially for senior year.
Community Review for Bloomz
My Take
Bloomz is one of the most effective tools I’ve used to build strong communication with students and parents. It made such a difference this year, especially as a 1st year senior class sponsor. I could send polished, graphic-style posts that grabbed attention and helped keep families in the loop—something that’s always been a challenge in the past.
I especially liked how easy it was to use and how professional the posts looked. Parents repeatedly told me how much they appreciated the consistent updates, and I saw a huge increase in engagement and participation. One of the biggest wins was Senior Awards Day—attendance jumped from around 30 families in past years to over 300 this year. Without a strong communication tool behind the scenes, that result wouldn't have happened.
The one thing I didn’t love was the limitations on the free and Teacher Premium plans. My colleagues were excited to try Bloomz but felt discouraged by the caps on class size, storage, or number of students. More flexibility or tiered pricing would open this up for more educators—especially those with multiple classes or larger programs.
Still, Bloomz is a powerful and reliable teaching tool that supports educators and strengthens family engagement.
How I Use It
I used Bloomz to communicate with my seniors and their families throughout the school year. As the senior class sponsor, I used it to send announcements, reminders, volunteer requests, and updates about deadlines and events—all in a visually engaging way. One specific example was our Senior Awards Day. In previous years, parent turnout was low. But thanks to consistent communication on Bloomz, we had over 300 attendees this year—something we’d never experienced before.
What worked best was how easy it was to create attention-grabbing posts that were clear, professional, and had plenty of reminders. Parents felt informed, involved, and connected every step of the way. It made organizing senior year events smoother and much less stressful.
