For children who need additional practice with concepts, this is a great supplement to my teaching.

I appreciate the whole program and it's friendly graphics. The visual presentation is calming and not over active. The students are not distracted by flashy bright animated characters or energetic music. This is especially important when you have students with various learning challenges. It would be a nice addition if the students were rewarded with certificates of achievement as they move through the program.

Lalilo offered a clearcut path to progress for my students. I like how it assesses the students and offers a starting point. I have several different reading/writing levels in my class, and lalilo helped me be able to present different levels with ease. If you get a chance this is a great addition to any classroom.

If I cannot work with my struggling readers in person, this is the next best thing. Well, OK, I hate to say it, but for ADD kids, it might even be better than coming all the way to my classroom and getting distracted by everything they see. With Lalio, their eyes become transfixed on what the screen shows them. They know exactly what they are supposed to do, and if they don't, I tell them to press the button again to hear the directions. I wish my own students hung on to my every word like that!

If you're looking for an independent ELA resource for homework/centers/free choice, this should definitely be a top pick! It has worked amazingly well in our class, and have suggested it to many other teachers as well. My take- if your school has the funds, buy the school license. If not, give the free version a try, and gather data and evidence of student growth to persuade your admin! This program has the option to assign letters/phonics/word families/blends/comprehension, and follows the pace of the student. If they need more practice, it will give it to them; if they're ready for new content, it will give it to them. This program moves at the pace of the student, which is what makes it so helpful.

I really liked using Lalilo as a teaching tool. I really liked that it covered the areas of phonics, sight words, word families and comprehension. I also liked the fact that it gave a pre-assessment to determine where the students needed to start and built from there. My students really enjoyed the activities, so they were engaged. I want to continue using it as a tool for my students, especially with the possibility of distance learning for the 2020-2021 school year. I appreciated that weekly emails with progress reports and being able to see the areas that the students were struggling with. I then developed my instruction on those areas. I only wish that I could send individual reports to the parents.

I absolutely love this product. It is a fantastic way for students to practice their reading skills. I will be using a hands-on dyslexia reading program this year, when we return to school, and I know that Lalilo will help not only to reinforce the skills my students will be learning in the dyslexia program, but also prepare them for the new concepts they will be learning. I am also using this program during Extended School Year to help my students maintain and grow their learning.

I have used the program as a part of my distance learning program during the COVID-19 school closures with great success for many of my students. As a special education teacher, this program allows me to individualize instruction across several grade levels. I am currently using the program with my students in grades K-3 with varying needs and ability levels. I intend to continue using the program as a remediation and enrichment tool when school resumes in the fall.

I love this tool because it adapts to the student as they go through the learning. I can use it with my ELL students and Special Needs students because it helps develop language skills and literacy skills.

Bottom Line- I love using Lalilo! It’s perfect for differentiating for developing readers and SpEd students. I love that it doesn’t require much planning on my end, and that I get a lot of useful data on how my students are progressing. In the age of whole language reading, Lalilo is a valuable tool to make sure our most vulnerable students aren’t left behind.
