Hāpara is must-have software for any school that is invested in the Google Workspace for Education. The Hāpara Suite offers seamless integration with student Chromebooks and student Google Drives and also has a fantastic Workspace platform for facilitating engaging digital learning experiences for students. While technology itself will not improve student learning, a teacher using technology can facilitate awesome learning experiences for students, and Hāpara is one the best tools a teacher can use to help facilitate best practices. While Workspace is a bit more challenging to learn, the Highlights and Teacher Dashboard features are relatively intuitive for teachers to learn and implement.

With Hāpara, teachers can: *access all student work from one dashboard *share assignments to students and access their individual student work without having to deal with sharing permissions *differentiate instruction from a single dashboard to multiple groups of students at a distance *personalize learning with shared learning Workspaces for individual students, groups, and the whole class *group students for small group meetings and instruction *share content across the entire district *when teachers need to manage student web browsing such as securing exams, pushing URLs to students, and presenting only specific URLs on student devices, this functionality is also available. With Hāpara, students can: *access all learning content and web-based learning from a mobile device or their home computer *organize learning assignments *get notifications of overdue work *organize for multiple subjects *instantly receive teacher notifications for online connection and student-to-student group work

When fully utilized and treated as a primary tool (as opposed to using it in conjunction with Google Classroom or another LMS), I think Hapara can empower a teacher to create and maintain a robust and engaging digital age learning environment. It could serve teachers and students even better by creating more or enhancing existing features so that it differentiates itself even more from similar, free tools like Google Classroom.

Hapara is a great product but has some flaws that can be corrected to be an even better product. The main flaw is the integration with other systems as well with other devices besides Chromebooks. We even had issues with Chromebooks not being connected throughout the new machine. It had quite an amount of flaws but over the 2 years we used it the school has grown to like the product! The kids enjoy being able to organize all their document and not have to SHARE with specific people for every document. A few items i would fix would be the connectivity issues and they use of customer service or professional assistance to create and update the class and sync with more SIS databases.

The programs have developed immensely since they were first introduced a few years ago, and I would say they are the strongest tool for Chromebooks. They recently launched a real-time screen viewer for student devices, which is huge. I cannot imagine us doing the work we do without Hapara!
