Dynamic Application for Teaching Literacy
This is an interesting tool for teaching various grammar concepts. It can also be integrated with Google Classrooms. There are five useful components to the application: Diagnostic, Lesson, Connect, Grammar, and Proofreader. These components allow teachers to choose the type of activity to integrate into their lessons. Each activity also generates student reports which include information about concepts which were mastered, almost mastered, and missed. Recommended lessons are also generated for each student in order to help assign more individualized tasks. Some activities also offer immediate feedback, which can be helpful for some students. I especially liked the Quill Lesson application as it provides an avenue for direct instruction and small group, or whole classroom discussion. I believe this application also fits in with TPACK framework and lands on the augmentation level of SAMR.

I used this for RTI this year. It worked really well. The students have to re-type the problem/sentence. They can't just pick A or B. I had kids realize they weren't putting the comma in the correct place. That is has to be in the exact location.
I think the students enjoyed not reading a passage and answering questions for a change. This is just grammar ---but there is a lot to choose from.

Teacher's Homework Assistant
The students seem to respond well to the tasks and the concept of working online - a definite bonus as I don't need to nag and cajole them into doing their work.
As a newbie user, I find the interface difficult to use intuitively. I made quite a number of false starts before I could find my way around. Some kind of hover-help would be really useful or even a 5-steps to complete guide.

Amazing differentiation activities that specifically target individual student needs!
I am really excited to use this project with all of my students. I work in an international school and naturally, their literary skills range greatly. With that being said, I like how this tool is inclusive of all English learners and I look forward to getting more specific feedback from them as we begin to use the site on a regular basis.

Quill in Remedial Language Arts
This tool is such a time saver. It also eliminates student boredom, because they do not have to do exercises about ideas and concepts that they have already mastered. I like that the program allows you to make changes to already existing exercises to make the content more applicable. I do wish that teacher lesson would be a bit more accessible. Of course that might be more operator error than program issue.
