Excellent Review Tool For Students!
Overall, Kahoot! is an excellent resource to check students' understanding of the material in a fun and interactive way. I loved the fact that students become competitive with each other and as a result, they are eager to find the correct answer. This makes the learning process so much more fun for both the students and the teacher. While I do wish that there were more sample questions on certain subjects, this resource is a tool that should be continuously implemented in the classroom.

Great interactive quiz that allows students to stay engaged and compete with their classmates
I believe that Kahoot, if utilized correctly, can be a create tool for assessing students understanding of material. Along with that, it is a great way to reinforce learning as quizzes can be created for review sessions prior to examinations.

So fun! So engaging! Such a wonderful way to learn!
I find this app to be truly intriguing. It gives off a hum of positive and creative energy, as it allows users to not only find quizzes on any topic imaginable, but gives them the opportunity to also create a quiz themselves. I find this to be a very useful tool, because I can create a quiz specifically for my students, and also give them assignments to do the same. My only concern about this app is that is tends to lean mostly towards the fun side of learning, and sometimes it can be distracting and actually take away from the overall goal as students turn it into a competition rather than a learning experience. I think that in moderation, this app can prove to be a very useful tool.

Great Study Tool!
Going from playing cahoot s a study tool to now helping my students use it as a study tool, I definitely think it has pleasantly expanded over the last few years. I think the only difference I would like to see is making the game available to early learners such as being able to add images to the answer options, rather than just words.

A dizzying colorful whirlwind of fun, Kahoot provides fast, fun, and enjoyable learning when in the right hands
I appreciate its accessibility, and how it always reaches to facilitate higher levels of the SAMR model. (Mostly level M, since it doesn't redefine the way you test). The vibrant colors and bright pallet provide a sense of sugar filled joy and entertainment while the kids learn. My colleagues praise this platform for being engaging and allowing students to be pulled in. The primary function of this tool is assessment, whether that is before or after a lesson is up to the individual. A tool is only is as good as the assessment you program into it, and should not be used as a comprehensive profile of students strengths and weaknesses. The difficulty of a given question will determine what order of higher level thinking you want your cohort to achieve, the tool will not do that for you. Overall 81/100, with deductions mainly for it being a single modality and a bit too elementary. (Such is the grade range however)

Exciting and Engaging!
I love Kahoot! I love how it helps my students reinforce concepts in a fun, engaging way. I wish kids that there was about a 30 second pause in between the students reading the questions and answers and letting them actually answer on their devices.

Awesome Interactive Technology Game
I am a teacher who is always looking for a way to connect to my students and gain a better understanding of the ways they learn on a daily basis. I want to connect with all types of learners within my classroom whether it be learning styles, interests, or background knowledge, Kahoot! provides me with a way to connect to my students while creating a deeper understanding about the way I teach curriculum to them. Slide 1 encompasses a three minute video that appeals to higher level learners who love the challenge of watching a documentary then answering a followup question to gain a better understanding. Slide 10 features a short Dr. Norma Alcantar biography appealing to career minded students who want to have a future job learning about living things. Slide 13 features a plant song appealing to music lovers or engage students who didn’t realize they were learning plant parts. Positive student teacher connections is key.
Having fond memories of our childhood days with a special teacher remains with us today. Maybe she/he drove us to future achievement or sparked a certain career path that continues to drive us today. As cited in section six Celebrating the Podium, “This feature is made for players that are constantly eager to learn and love celebrating together with their classmates” Educators who deliver effective praise through celebrations can stimulate an unmotivated child who doesn’t have the confidence of being successful in school. By being sincere, specific, and realistic with students when you celebrate their accomplishments you in turn build their confidence that will transfer into future achievement. Positive classroom celebrations can push students forward on their educational journey at a young age. Celebrating the success of students is like saying to them, “Your hard work matters and I care about your learning”.
An icebreaker is an activity, exercise, or experience designed to break the ‘ice’ that typically limits or inhibits interactions of a group of people who may or may not know each other. A group is exhibiting “ice” if there is little or no talking, reluctance to make physical contact, and poor eye contact. Additionally, group members stand alone, displaying a lack of initiative and absence of trust. To qualify as an icebreaker, an activity, exercise, or experience should have most of the following criteria: Editor / March 26th 2019 An ice breaker should be fun, non-threatening, highly interactive, easy to understand, and success oriented. My Ice Breaker Kahoot! “Getting to Know Your Teacher” will act as a springboard at the start of the school year and continue with individual students when it’s their special “Indian of the Week” time.
All in all, I have learned many valuable lessons from taking this Kahoot! Class. I will certainly recommend it to my colleagues who want an educational online class that will be both beneficial of their time and classroom application will be applied. I felt Brian Davis was always available to answer my questions, give positive feedback after submitting assignments, and was efficient when returning graded assignments. I created many Kahoots during this course to be used in my classroom and I will continue to create them when the need arises. Thank you for your time and effort in delivering a well rounded class that was worth my time.
