My Take
Overall, Kahoot! is an excellent resource to check students' understanding of the material in a fun and interactive way. I loved the fact that students become competitive with each other and as a result, they are eager to find the correct answer. This makes the learning process so much more fun for both the students and the teacher. While I do wish that there were more sample questions on certain subjects, this resource is a tool that should be continuously implemented in the classroom.
How I Use It
I've used Kahoot! as a review tool when students were reviewing grammar. Having students choose from the multiple choice options of how to correctly identify the grammatically correct sentences helped the students get a fun way to review what was taught and see where they may need extra assistance. The time limits on the activity provided extra pressure that both benefited and hurt students. Some students were able to get correct answers despite time restrictions while others needed more time to figure out how to respond.
