Great Learning Tool
I think this website is a great tool for learners. You can use it with a variety of lessons and activities. I also really like that there is a variety of ways to use the resources. I love doing the book whole group and then incorporating it into my small groups. There are so many ways you can teach using this site.

Great differentiated reading activities.
Reading a-z also has mini lessons to go along with the specific book. These lessons are great for comprehension skills, sequencing and graphic organizing. The mini lessons can be printed off or used with your Smart Board. I love Reading a-z!

Awesome resource for certain topics or skills
I think Reading A to Z it is an excellent tool for comparing and contrasting paired texts, which aren't always easy to find on the same grade level. Also, it is engaging to have a "book" up on the Smartboard to do a whole group activity, with shared reading, highlighting, and discussing.
One thing that would make it better is if students could have an account to access the material themselves. Perhaps they already do, but, to my knowledge, not at my school.

Leveled book program with disposable books
This resource requires a lot of copying and time to get the materials together. It can be a valuable resource for both high and low readers if struggling to provide materials at instructional and independent levels. Great take home because of low cost. Not practical to copy in color-so black and white is not that attractive (I let students color in the pictures)

Reading Differentiation Tool
While access to the passages is great, you do need to print quite a bit to make use of these. It would be nice to have the option to have students access the passages online. With that said, it is one of the best sources for short, leveled text. You can use Raz-Kids, the student companion site, for access to online student text, but that requires additional funds.

Valuable tool for reading instruction
I used this website every day in my classroom with both whole groups and small groups. The varying types of materials has been very useful in meeting my students' instructional needs. I liked the ability to search for content topics as well as specific reading strategies or comprehension skills. It has also been very helpful to have these materials in transitioning to the Common Core and WV NextGen Standards. The price is the only negative aspect of this website; however, I found it to be worth it.

Great for small groups.
I like it. This is good as a supplementary product. I make copies of the things I print so in the future I don't need to pay for the subscription.

Phenomenal supplement to any Reading classroom!!
As a reading teacher, Reading A-Z is my all time FAVORITE website. My district has transitioned to the Common Core without providing many resources to supplement the current curriculum, Harcourt Trophies. Reading A-Z has provided me with the resources needed to create cross-curricular units that meet the demands of the CCSS. The only drawback to this website is the cost ($99.95/year per classroom).
