I think that Nearpod is an excellent tool for engaging students, especially during a content-heavy lesson that requires a lot of lecturing from the teacher. It caters well to getting through a considerable amount of information while still being able to get instant feedback from your students to make sure they are following along and understanding. The amount of learning that the student received from Nearpod and the depth of understanding depends largely on how the individual teacher develops the presentation. One criticism of Nearpod is that it doesn't lend itself well to differentiation, as typically you would have one presentation for the whole class. This issue could be resolved if you came up with ways to differentiate within the presentation or had the opportunity to have different students log into different presentations. There is a risk of students venturing from the presentation and looking at other things on their devices; it is important for the teacher to monitor use and look for responses from all students.

I think Nearpod is a tool that can enhance the classroom experience for many kinds of learners! I especially like how students can be directed to watch a video, and then have the chance to reflect directly after! In addition, teachers receive valuable analytics and resources that would help them further discover the best ways for their students to learn! One caveat for teachers is that many additional resources come at an additional cost on this website, so be sure to fully investigate before planning lessons through this tool!

I really liked this tool overall. I know when I worked on it on my laptop, the only issue I came across was the Virtual Reality part. My screen was completely black and I could not see anything. Other than that I think this is a great interactive tool that could really interest students in what they are learning. There are many different aspects involved like drawing, VR, quizzes, and more that address different learning needs. It can be used for different populations of learners as well with the prompts and and subtitles present it makes it easier for everyone. I really like how there are real-time results provided as soon as the activity is completed.

I would name this tool as a form of augmentation. I loved the VR feature, the easy powerpoint style. There are endless possibilities. This turns what could be a boring powerpoint-lecture into a virtual and exciting adventure with differentiated learning for all!

I like that students can look at particular videos and tie it together with a class activity (group, small group, or individual). I think that the students will like that the continuation of the lesson without the teacher standing over their back watching. I think that this is a great in class activity!

This is an awesome teaching tool. I like that fact that teachers can share their lessons and help others/provide others with those plans. This is great place to find lesson planning ideas or even utilizing one of the slides in our class.

It is an amazing resource and everyone loved it. It helped the students be engaged but it also helps the teacher get information back! A win overall!

I think this is a great tool and could potentially work best with substitute teachers because all they have to do is click through the slides. If a student needs more enrichment they could go through one of these lesson plans to get more practice and learn more about it. I think it needs to be more geared toward an individual learning rather than a whole group lesson.

SAMR model is visible when using Near pod because the tool helps teacher to infuse technology into teaching and learning. Also, in using Near Pod, TPACK framework is evident because the teacher is able to create and develop varied activities, and technology is combined with content and pedagogy to create effective learning environment during teacher -students and students to students collaboration( Paired -learning, sharing, interacting, reviewing, posting and sharing). Overall, Near Pod is an amazing tool which I am looking forward to using it in my classroom .
