Great to use in World Languages
This app is great for a multitude of content areas and age ranges. I love that it helps students work on digital storytelling. Great as an app to be used by students in isolation or in groups. This app works great in foreign language class because students are creating a story and applying their language skill through speaking and listening.

Make content come alive with Puppet Pals!
I am all about apps that I can figure out in less than 10 minutes! Puppet Pals is definitely that kind of app! I love that it walks you through the steps necessary to set up your puppet show. First, you choose your characters. Then, you select your scene backdrops. Then, you are ready to begin recording your puppet show! The free version of Puppet Pals comes with limited characters & backdrops, while the paid version gets you LOTS more "actors" and backdrops. A cool feature of Puppet Pals is that you can create your own actors and backdrops, using photos stored in your camera roll. (Don't worry. It sounds complicated, but Puppet Pals walks you through it!) My students even figured out that they could add a prop to their puppet shows by creating the prop as an "actor" in the show. I love that this app is super easy to use, that the kids can totally create a puppet show on their own without needs lots of assistance, and that the app can be used in a variety of subject areas. I also love that the kids can quickly export their puppet show to their camera roll, which makes for easy sharing with me via Dropbox or Google Drive (or whatever your preferred sharing method is).

Tell stories, share information, or create simple silliness.
Puppet Pals is a great free app, but is also one of the best paid apps you could purchase. For a small fee, buy the directors package and unlock all the characters as well as the option to add your own photos. Retell stories, create imaginative plays, produce travel journals, and more. Younger students enjoy playing and exploring with pre-made characters. Older students are able to add their own photos for backgrounds and characters. Re-enact historical scenes, create book trailers, and more! The puppet shows created are only limited by your creativity and imagination.

Fantastic tool for creative digital storytelling!
This tool is great for reversing the teaching. Have students create a puppet pal video that demonstrates what they have learned. This can be used for explaining mathematical equations, demonstrating parts of speech or using new vocabulary words.
