Wonderful tool for both teachers and students to use
I think BlendSpace is going to be a permanent fixture in my classroom toolbox. It's easy to use format and ability to pull from a variety of resources is a great feature. If they could add a feature where I could be emailed when a student has a question while working on a session, that would be wonderful!

Blendspace: a content curation tool to embed media and resources
The students like having so many options for completing assignments; however, there have been issues. A benefit is the ability to track statistics for the students and record their quiz scores. There have been many errors in the system. This also requires the students to be able to log in. This has proved to be a challenge with the Google associated accounts and Edmodo connected accounts. This year I have not been able to track reliable homework completion through the website alone. There are still benefits to Blendspace, like only providing a single link to students and having all the resources and directions be in a single location. Another aspect that could be improved is literally the aspect ratio. The content does not display equally or easily on all devices, this makes a big deal since I teach in a BYOT classroom and there are many different devices being used. I need resources that are reliable across device. The flaws do not outweigh the benefits; they are just considerations to keep in mind while creating the activities for the classroom and/or homework.

Great to organize and chunk flipped lessons!
I love Blendspace. I also love the option to have students create. Its many design options chunk material in different ways. Students could gather information and present without having to use multiple tools.

Easy way to get information to students.
Overall, I think it is a great tool to use to fuse multiple online mediums together. I definitely think it is a great tool to use for anyone that wants to share lessons with their students. I plan on creating as many as I can this year and then refining and reusing them next year and posting all of them on my website for my students.

Visual Way to Present a Concept/Theme Through A Variety of Media
Blendspace is an excellent tool for independent practice or to give students time to explore a concept in a flipped environment. The product can be a bit shaky when trying to link or align concepts to the applications offered. For example, a student that is already an active member of an Educreations class, will be unable to link their Educreation to a Blendspace board. Some workarounds exist by using the Insert Webpage feature. Occasionally, the webpage inserted can take you close to the page you desire, but actually not be the exact page. Blendspace functions better on a computer versus a tablet. Certain features are unable to be used on a tablet in the building and viewing of a Blendspace.
Students enjoy the freedom to work through each board, at their own pace and order. My advice is to keep Blendspace simple and not make it more than what it is meant to be utilized to do for students.

Allow students to CURATE!
Because of the functionality and searchability that is housed right within Blendspace, it's the perfect way for students to demonstrate their knowledge of a given concept. I also like that Blendspace seems to 'play well with others'. It's an app-smashers paradise.

Blendspace- Free, easy to use tool that is great for presentations!
I think this is an amazing teaching tool because it allows teachers to consolidate all of their online resources into one presentation that can be accessed as a whole or in small chunks. I also love that it can be shared via link or as a QR code, and I think that the ease of setting up an account makes it a complete winner. I would highly recommend Blendspace!

Love this product for teacher work flow and digital organization of resources that can accompany a topic or lesson.
This product is more for the teacher than the student. It is a digital platform that gives teachers and students a place where they can collect, annotate, and share resources. It's easy to get signed up and create your first Blendspace. Teachers can create a blendspace to share whole group or create a class where a blenspace can be shared for individual student use. Each Blendspace has several digital options to search for resources including Google, YouTube, Educreations, Flickr, as well as the ability to upload from dropbox or Google drive. Blendspaces play like a slideshow and students are able to comment on each tile, creating a space for students to learn digital citizenship. I would've rated it higher, but I feel this products success depends on how the individual teacher integrates it with the curriculum. In my classroom, I feel it earns top honors.

A great way to keep students on track.
I have shared this with other teachers in my building and everyone I shared it with has started using it. I love how I can organize my lessons and how the students can learn at their own pace. I just wish the tool that allows you to record audio that can be read to the students didn't have a price associated with it.
