Differentiated Facts Practice for All Levels of Learner!
Overall I really love this website and especially love that it is free! It is a very easy program to set up in the classroom and I really have seen an improvement with my students memorization of their basic math facts. I like that it takes about 10 minutes to set up, and then the students can use the program independently for the remainder of the school year with little assistance from me. The program also provides a letter to send home to parents so that they know what we are using in the classroom and can have their kids use the program at home too!
This program is a great way to provide differentiated practice to students without the teacher having to use a lot of different resources or materials. The initial assessment allows the program to get familiar with the students knowledge and what they need to work on. This allows the program to gear itself specially to what the student needs more work on and not waste time on skills they have already mastered. It also only has the students working for an allotted amount of time so they do not get bored or frustrated with their practice.
One thing I would change about the program is that students must master their addition facts before they can move on to their subtraction facts. I am a first grade teacher and we teach addition and subtraction simultaneously, so I feel that they are getting more practice on the program with their addition skills and not enough with their subtraction skills.

Great free resource to build math fact fluency in and out of the classroom.
Overall, my opinion of XtraMath is that it had a great impact of my students’ success in learning their basic math facts. I found this incredibly easy to sign up for and set up. Students were given the time at school to practice that they did have at home due to lack of parent support or time. My class was consistently passing levels and the progress reports allowed me to see where they were making errors which I shared with our instructional team and parents. When discussing certain students, the XtraMath progress reports were another data point that I could bring to meetings and share as a tool that I was using to support student learning. I enjoyed the ability to adapt this program for students who need enrichment and also for students with specific learning needs. I also liked how the program was developmental. It started with addition and worked its way through more difficult operations based on completion. It also allowed me to have control and change parts of the program for each student to meet their individual needs. Despite the benefits of the tool, I did not like the limited variety of activities it offered. It was very redundant and after a month many of my students have begun to lose interest. Having other types of games within the program to test their fluency would make this website truly incredible. I also would like to see an easier way to get the students to sign in to their own computer to work on this website instead of on just one classroom computer. This would allow my students to access XtraMath when they have completed work or use it as a warm-up without waiting for others.

Simple and personalized way to track students as they master basic facts! Very effective but could be a little more engaging.
Overall I really like using Xtramath in my classroom. It is extremely simple to use for both students and teachers, and gives an accurate and updated report of student's progress. Each student page has a chart and graph of their progress that is also very beneficial to show parents. I also really like that every student can be working at their own level and their own pace. Each program looks the same so no student feels left out, but everyone is still working at their appropriate level.
The only thing I would change about Xtramath would be to include some more variety to keep students engaged when using the app over a long period of time. For example, after they have done two lessons for the day, have an interactive game or activity to practice the same facts from the lessons, but in a more fun way. I think this would keep students focused on their facts but with some added engagement to make basic fact practice a bit more fun.

Math site that allows you to use at school and at home!
Overall I feel like this site is a great tool to utilize in the classroom. I like how you can give students lessons and activities based on their level and needs as well as chart their progress. This helps with my special education students who need to show evidence that they have achieved their goals. I also like the parent component that keeps the parents informed of what we are doing and allows students to access their accounts from home.

Quick, Easy Math Fact Practice
I have used XtraMath with grades 1-5 for several years and I will continue to use it. It does not have the fluff of added games but it provides the repetitive practice needed for many to learn math facts. It is not students' favorite math practice site due to the lack of games but because it takes a short time, is at their level, and done independently I hear very little complaints. I will continue to use this with my students and recommend it to my colleagues.

Great free classroom resource for fact fluency
The website is easy to use and auto-generates login codes, parent handouts and classroom setup instructions. Assigned operations can be tailored to individual students or whole-class. The classroom progress emails are helpful for tracking student use and mastery. I dislike the amount of repeating included if a student gets a fact wrong. I would also like to see an app-version released, since the flash-based content does not play on iPad. Overall, I highly recommend this site.
