I love the way this application allows me to organize materials for students to access classroom materials. It's great for students who were absent or for adding access to extra resources for students understand. Students can create their own binders as portfolios.

Live binders is a great tool for making documents available in an organized manner. You can create shelves, binders, and pages within each binder. It is very helpful since I have three preps (USHistory, World History, AP World History) and keeping all my files organized for students use online can be a challenge.

Students benefit from this organization because when we are studying a unit, I can easily pull up the pictures, maps, short video clips, websites and other information that I want to share with them, as needed. I can look at binders that others have created and can share my binders, as well.

Live Binders has made my classroom life more organized. Tabs are set up like file folders that contain any content that is needed.

Livebinders has several wonderful features – the ability to add a “bookmarklet’’ to your browser, iPad and Android apps, an excellent support community on Twitter, and the ability to share your binder with others. You are able to view binders by category and search binders for specific topics. Information is easily organized using tabs and sub tabs. You can add almost any type of information to your binder – from websites, to documents, to videos. Beyond the free version, which offers 100 MB of storage, there are optional paid versions. The potential for students with livebinders is staggering. Livebinders can be used by students to create electronic portfolios to showcase their learning or talents. Livebinders allows students to evaluate, assess, filter and organize information in more effective ways than ever before. As a teacher, Livebinders will help to make your classroom more transparent and organized. Livebinders can also be used to replace worn-out textbooks – updated and current information can now be at your students’ fingertips.

Using LiveBinders was a great start to a paperless classroom. Students are able to access the LiveBinder on my website and view it at anytime. This was a great resource for students who where absent or as an extra study guide.
