You absolutely need the Flocabulary program! Students will use rap to remember important ideas and facts. Teachers love the student engagement and the kids love it! Can't ask for more.

I love this website as long as teachers are using it to integrate the content into what they are already teaching, and not as a "babysitting" tool or an "instead of". The videos and raps are really fun and engaging for students of all ages and levels. I have heard students sing a jingle or two while trying to remember how to do certain math skills in class, so the tunes certainly resonate with the students. I love how easy the site is to navigate and how many tools they offer to help. Flocabulary is constantly making great changes, and always improving their site for special needs students.

Flocabulary is an excellent addition to supplement content knowledge in an ELA classroom. The Flocabulary tutorial is very helpful in guiding one on how to use Flocabulary and create Flocabulary classroom for your students.

I like how engaging the music and beats are in most Flocabulary videos. Many students need a auditory approach to learning and Flocabuary provides that. It would be great if Google had a Flocabulary App.

The videos are super-engaging, and are ridiculously sticky. In the past few years, they've added additional ways for teachers in engage with the content, including making a playlist, worksheets that compliment the activity, and much more. I'm excited to see them continue to develop their product to make it even easier to integrate into a teacher's busy day.

Overall I really love this program and so do the students. With its Weekly "Week in Rap" selection, Flocabulary helps to keep students informed on what's currently happening in the world. Always working on improvements, a newly added feature now breaks down Current Events into grade levels giving close attention to sensitive subjects matters and developing age appropriate content. Other invaluble tools that come with each video are lesson plans, interactive lyric sheets, student handouts, and assessments that are rigorous with content. These lessons are a Substitute Teachers dream, so I tend to provide my sub folder with plenty. Since Flocabulary is consistanly improving , it's only downfall is that it went from a FREE program to a $96 a year(and $2000 a yr for the whole school) overnight! OUCH!

I really like this product and even though I have yet to use in a classroom setting I can definitely see myself utilizing this product. I would be using this product in a history class and so this type of positive student engagement can prove very useful. While the songs that encompass historical content are useful, the weekly current events material are equally intriguing. This is a very good way to help keep the students engaged and knowledgeable about the current goings on in our world. I can't speak from direct experience using this prodect, but I can see how the students would respond very well to its classroom application and demand more and more flocabulary songs and resources to be used to supplement existing curriculum.

Awesome and innovative! Love the team at Flocabulary as they are always changing and improving their product regularly. Excellent teaching tool. The tools from their product line has "staying power" due to it's use of music which all cultures can relate. The key in usage is repetitiveness and methodology in how to take the skills and apply it on various levels.

Overall, Flocabulary is a great teaching tool that is easy to use, and is highly engaging for students. Flocabulary enhances social studies lessons through their informative and witty lyrics along with eye-catching graphics. Flocabulary serves students and teachers by getting students excited about learning history. After exposing students to Flocabulary, you can have students create their own songs about a particular topic. My students get really excited about creating their own songs, or rewriting the lyrics to a popular song and using their iPads to create eye-catching music videos of them singing it. Flocabulary serves as a great example of how learning history can be fun and as a model for these music video projects. Flocabulary also provides resources on how to write informative and engaging lyrics. Last week, in my United States history class students were learning about the Progressive Era, and I had a student ask me, “Mrs. McIntyre, is there a Flocabulary video we can watch on this, because I love those!” This was a junior in high school and displays the excitement that Flocabulary can create in the classroom. My students and I love Flocabulary’s, “Week in Rap” videos. These videos, serve as great conversation starters for lively discussions and debates on current events. I think my students genuinely look forward to watching the “Week in Rap” because of the quick and informative summaries the video gives of many important events that happened throughout the week all around the world. My only criticism of Flocabulary for the social studies classroom is that they would have more videos on specific topics in history and that Flocabulary provide more detailed lesson plans, discussion questions, and extension activities to accompany each video.

Great program for low literacy students or those that have trouble reading as the information presented is oral, so students have to listen to get the information. Hearing impaired students would need to find another program to use, so not for special education students that have these specific accessibility challenges.
