Dont do it
Hate it! the learning process is awfull it gives you 2 points for getting a problem correct and removes 7 for getting one wrong. IF you want to assign this make sure you try and get to a 100% first. Honestly, it just makes the kids hate you and not want to do it. Give really homework not this, I know its easy for you but its not for the kids. Hopefully, teachers see this because for some reason they all seem blind to it.

Terrible tool for students
I introduced IXL to my students in our Advanced class, and they absolutely hated it. Though it is a helpful tool, If students don't have a passion for learning, then whats the point of teaching. Students get frustrated with IXL, and are unmotivated it. Now, I use it as extra practice to study for tests. Parents don't waste your time on IXL, my 7th graders hate it. If it was fun, it would have maybe 4 stars, and I don't unserstand why it does have 4 stars. IXL is a waste, Teachers and parents, don't waste your time with it!!!

Not what you'd think
Even though the website is aesthetically “pretty”, it’s confusing to navigate. I spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out how to assign practice questions to my students. After a while I had to give up since it was taking too much time. This website provides a tutorial but I think it needs to go a bit deeper, unless assigning practice exercises isn’t a feature of this site. I was greatly disappointed with the user experience because they advertise “personalized learning”, but I wasn’t able to personalize anything that would help meet specific student needs.

Great for Differentiation
I really like IXL because I am able to differentiate my instruction to help all my students. I wish that it was easier for students to see what they have been assigned because it would be more user friendly. Instead of having a "to-do" list, I have to assign my students the specific skill through Google Classroom and give them the link. It is okay, but I would love if the students had a todo list and I could just assign each student their own activities in an easier manner.

Easy formative assessment that the kids enjoy
I like this program. There are so many topics to choose from and it is so easy for the students to do. My kids really do not mind using this program for homework at all. Your students also get 10 questions for free, but you can pay for licensing and your students then get as many questions as they want as well as having more data opportunity for teachers. Overall, I have really liked ixl.

IXL greatly aligns to the state of Virginia's math Standards of Learning!
I like alignment it provides to my state's standards. VA is not a common core state, and aligned resources are harder to find.

IXL helps you excel
I like IXL for my students. They would rather work on an Ipad rather then in a book. Once the children get the hand of logging in, they are able to log in with no issue.

This product has very little thought into the design of it, the questions are ridiculous and ask too much for the studen's age, some of the stuff even I don't know. The answers are very badly explained and only except one answer, no other equal values are
I don't like it at and I will never be tricked to use such a deceptive and horribly designed and programed website. The website is buggy and needs to have downtime a lot, they also have very poorly designed questions and assume too much about the ability of the students. They have very stupid answers, and they don't except anyother answer choice but their's. Let me give you a real example Explanation

You can see how absurd their software and how shabby it is compared to sites like Khan Academy that actually teach you things before testing on them. This is solely used as a practice tool, but then the quesions and answers are subject to scrutiny and rage, frustration from the users, and there the breed a hate for all things math. This is not right, don't buy this scam of a website and fed the horrid, nefarious monster it has grown to be.

CAUSES ANXIETY AND STRESSES STUDENTS
It has a bad design where if the students get one question right, they receive 1 point, but lose more points when they get one wrong.
