Almost impossible to teach kids with.
This is a terrible way to teach kids. It is almost impossible to work throughout the site, kids usually get lost and ask too many questions on how to work it than learn it. It takes about a class period to get every kid on the same page before we can even move on into the lesson. I would not recommend this to anyone that wants to slightly even educate their kids.

Horrible website that Students hate to use!
When I first showed my students Desmos I knew right away that they all hated it. There faces were full of disgust and I don't blame them. Why are we replacing graphing calculators which are easy to use and to work on with this horrible website. My teacher educator tries to advertise Desmos and I hate it. The students hate Desmos and so do I!

Money Well Saved
This tool is a life saver when students can't get a graphing calculator at home. It gives all students access to the graphing calculator tool without forcing families to spend money. Desmos is good for all levels of learners as it is pretty straight forward once you find the function you are looking for. There is very little reading necessary, even with the examples provided to help guide those struggling, and very few steps to complete a task on the calculator. Teachers and students can also project their phones given the right adaptors so classmates can see their computations, tables, graphs, ect. Unfortunately, it gets challenging for students come assessment time because the steps used to complete tasks on Desmos tend to be different than those of a graphing calculator. State assessments do not allow the substitution of apps for graphing calculators at this point. Even still, it allows for students to focus more on interpretation of math concepts. Lastly, this app, like the graphing calculator, doesn't correct or give feedback to students. It simply computes and/or shows what the student has typed.

Visually represent advanced algebra functions and even display lesson materials from this genius app.
Desmos is a very useful tool for using visual displays of graphs for middle to high school math courses. Desmos does not have direct collaboration features like Google Docs, or Sheets does but it allows for created graphs to be shared and loaded using email address or Google+. There are example graphs and lessons included in the Desmos for educators link by using the Desmos.com website. I enjoy the mobile version of Desmos as well, its functionality is almost equal to the desktop version. The one challenge is the inability to copy/paste Desmos graphs to mobile-based presentation apps, depending on the Mobile OS used at the time. With updates to Desmos, the copy/paste issue on the mobile version may be solved.
As an Algebra/Precalculus/AP Calculus teacher it allows for an inexpensive alternative to a graphing calculator, however, standardized testing still has not sanctioned mobile usage during testing so students must still invest in an allowed graphing calculator for SAT/ACT/AP exams. However, for homework assignments and quiz design, Desmos is phenomenal.
Each image file created can be saved locally, and is a low resolution, low drive space commitment for each set of functions graphed in one session.

Great tool to graph functions and non-functions
I like this program when I teach transformation of functions. The algebraic functions and graphs can be viewed on the same scree at the same time. Also, each function and the graph are color coded to match. That is easy for students to make connections on different representations of function and it's graph.
Because of the visual of graphs, that is easy for students to make comparisons about how does the graph moved visually. And then I can let students make observations on the algebraic structure of each function and see how does that relate to graph changes.

A beautiful graphing calculator which can make complex maths look clear and simple, and don't miss the ready made lessons at "teacher.desmos.com"
This is a beautiful site which provides beneficial learning experiences in a range of maths (particularly aimed at lower secondary maths students).
I have found the internet connection needs to be strong and reliable for "polygraph" game, and some students "rush" through, unless guided. As the teacher you have a view of each student's progress, which I suggest you maintain to avoid students missing steps or making large errors.

Excellent graphic calculator, interactive data visualization tool, and collaborative learning platform.
Desmos is both user friendly and aesthetically pleasing which makes it an excellent tool for communicating data in a visually pleasing way. It is very intuitive to use but does require applicable background knowledge. It is not a self-guided learning platform for students, but rather a useful tool to aid in calculation and graphing that possesses an incredibly high functionality. I look forward to seeing the development of their collaborative, interactive lessons as they may be few but are quite rich.

What...for real?? The bigger the number, the skinnier the graph?
I am enthusiastic about this online teaching tool. This replaces the hand-drawn overhead worksheets, and more importantly the hand-drawn white-board. This graphing tool allows for real-time, on the spot, visual representation of the fundamental aspects of a graph and how they are affected by change in parameters. This tool brings functions to life visually and SAVES TIME!

Great graphing tool for understanding the graphs of functions.
This is a great teaching tool. Paper and pencil graphs are great, don't get me wrong, but this is great to quickly see the graphs and to change them at will and see what happens.
