Engaing movies on various educational subjects/topics.
What I like about Brain Pop is their engaging videos in multi-subjects along with extension activities and quizzes that are offered. One downfall is that the cartoon characters speak quickly in these videos.

Exciting educational Video Clips
I think this product is great for all kids; the students really enjoy watching the video clips. They seem to learn and understand the information when they see it played out in a fun, colorful and exciting media. It is very easy for them to get to it and start watching and listening. I like the idea of whenever they watch a video they ask to watch another one.

Great way to engage and inspire!
BrainPop is awesome! The knowledge gained in just 5 minutes cannot be beat. Teachers can use whole class or individualized instruction to assign a short, engaging video to introduce, reinforce, or reteach content. At the end of each video, students/teachers can have immediate feedback on knowledge gained by taking a 10 question quiz.

Geeky but on-target for skills!
BrainPop is a great for introducing a concept or reinforcing what you have taught. Students navigate the videos and can repeat them if necessary. The quizzes are a great way to assess content and possible reteaching. Cute cartoon-type characters keep all student levels engaged.

Brain Pop allows your students to learn standards based, grade level material in fun and relevant cartoons.
This site and app is a great tool to use with in the classroom. It is great for an introduction or a wrap up in a lesson and it also serves a great time filler when you need something quick. I love the high level of vocabulary and content. Material is broken down into smaller segments so students are not over loaded. The students loved the "movies" and grew to love and know the characters. The only draw back may be the cost for some individuals.

Complex ideas are simplified into this very versatile app, with assessments built in.
Brain Pop makes concepts very real for students in an easy to understand format. I was very impressed with the breadth of topics that it offered. Granted, it may not have the depth required for more advanced studies, its application is suitable for students who are just beginning an exploration of the topic. The animations are entertaining and informative, and really breaks down concepts to a simplified form. The quiz at the end of each lesson is an immediate way for students to test their retention, as it provides instant feedback.

Brainpop continues to engage and motivate students.
My students continue to love Brainpop and Brainpop Jr. The videos are engaging for all elementary ages. Our school system has a subscription to all the videos and students often spend some of their technology time at home learning with Brainpop.

BrainPOP videos allow teachers to "front load" or "flip" classroom learning when students view the video prior to working with the teacher.
Students respond well to this visual learning experience, which also blends the written work with graphical representations.

Student-loved App for Learning and Review
We all know that BrainPOP is great, and I have seen many teachers use the website for whole-group instruction. With the BrainPOP Featured Movie app, the learning transfers from whole-group to the individual. Students can take ownership of their learning using the app on an iPod Touch or iPad, an even quiz themselves with the app. I love that the content is organized by subject area first, and then organized again into topics. It makes it super easy for the students to navigate to what they want to learn. The videos included are in kid-friendly language, and the examples given by Tim and Moby are age appropriate as well. I also like that the app also includes a quiz feature for after the video, which is a quick way to check if your students "got it." I do wish, however, that the quiz questions had different styles (that is, not all multiple choice). The app does give worksheets as well, but it is hard to print off of an iPad, unfortunately.
