I really enjoy using this product to build the students background information about animals. It has information available about most animals and the content is appropriate for classroom use. I like the photography, videos and visuals that make it engaging for young children. I like that the factual information is brief enough to read and discuss, yet not lose students' interest. I wish that the site had an audio component that would read the factual information to the students at a touch of a button. This would make the site more useful as an individual tool, for those students that are not able to read the facts on their own.

My overall opinion is that the site is great for young and older children. My young preschool students enjoy the site and after just four uses all of my VPK students can work the site. I like that it is a simple site and can be worked by a four year older. I am not sure what would be better for my teaching except more videos for my age group to be created and made available. I am sure that this site is great just the way it is due to the responses I have going from my parents and students. I also like that it is free and can help parents. I have used this for homework assignments and the students love it! I would encourage every educator to use it and get parents connected to it too!!

It is great to find a site that is kid-friendly and also highly reliable in terms of the information provided. The content is organized but not necessarily in a way that I usually look for (e..g. all "Science" content is not in one place or organized by "physics," "biology," "astronomy," etc.). However, you can search the whole site which helps narrow things down. It also has a good amount of variety which makes it likely that all students will find something of interest.

While I don't utilize this website to teach from, it makes a great supplement and basis for research.

I think the layout is great and the information is even greater. The videos provide a great tool for visual learners. I also like that you can add free play to the lesson or supplement learning with a break using mazes or other animal games. The website reminds me a lot of an ipod in a way because it lets students browse the different sections and previews the material so they know what they are picking. The best thing is you know your child is safe and learning!

National Geographic Kids provides great resources for students to observe animals and help understand them better. Teachers can use the site to help introduce conecepts and supplement instruction. Students can interact with engaging content at school or at home. This site is an excellent way for students to make connections with other people and places around the world.

I love using this in my classroom. I have used it so much that it has been added as a bookmark on my tools bar! My students have logged in and played the games at home and can easily use this to complete research projects! It is very user friendly, my 6th graders have no trouble finding whatever they need on here.

This iste was alive and easy to navigate. Students were engaged by t he professional pictures and captions. The information was simple and to the point, LOVE IT!

I like this tool because I feel it gives the students useful information that is also entertaining to them and it hold their attention. This products helps to gain students attention in an area of science or social studies where they might not otherwise be interested.

This is a great product that has excellent pictures. The text and information is organized and easy to follow and the students stay engaged as it is on the computer rather then a piece of paper.
