Amazing for classroom use with differentiated instruction
Overall I felt that the students really could understand their creations better, but I did not enjoy the fact that work could not be saved until it was completed. Sometimes the students do not finish an assignment and it can be very frustrating to work so diligently and then have to start over.

Great tool for students to demonstrate learning!
Basic creation tool that both students and teachers can use. It is simple enough that students can figure it out on their own in 10 minutes. Allows you to record both your writing and voice. Does not allow for much editing.

Super Versatile App!
This app is great and I think every school ipad should have this included on it. It is simple to use and can be integrated through all grade levels. If your district is using Google Apps for Education, students can easily sign in and email their creation to you. Educreations can also be helpful in the flipped classroom to easily create and post lessons.

Super easy, flexible app for creating great presentations!
Educreations is a whizzy little app that makes it easy to create a professional looking presentation for almost any user. You can use your own images or those from the web, annotate onscreen and narrate your slides with voiceover in real-time. I use the app on my iPad but our students have used it successfully on iPod touch as well as viewing results on PCs projected through their interactive classroom whiteboards. Educreations seems a very intuitive and flexible app that kids will just love to play around with. I'm sure they will show me things I would never think of doing with it.

Quick and easy screencasting apps
Of all the many screencasting apps that I tried Educreations was in the middle of the pack for features and somewhat ahead of the pack for ease of use. It is fairly intuitive to learn. Older students will be able to get started on it with very little training and younger ones will catch on quickly once shown how.
There are better screencasting apps, but this one is well known and pretty good.

Screencasting made simple with both the app or website
This is my favorite FREE screencasting app. Unlike other apps, you can create multiple pages with multiple images. Record audio and annotations over images to share learning. Share publicly or privately by uploading to the web. There is also a PC web version of this one. If you'd like to know more about different free screencasting apps, check out my screencast comparing these tools. http://www.knowmia.com/watch/lesson/10924 FREE

Encourages Students to Articulate Their Math Reasoning When Used as an Assessment
I used Educreations almost every day in my middle school math classroom. I helped me bridge the gap between school and home by being accessible to the students from home through my instructional videos. I also found even more uses for Educreations than I originally intended, extending it as a reassessment tool. The only thing I wish you could do with Educreations is export videos.
