LESSON
My Values & Tech
Our values guide how we think, act, and connect with others. They shape what matters to us, how we treat people, and the choices we make every day. Growing up in a technology-rich world adds a new layer to this process. Media and technology can help us express our values, connect with others, and learn—but they can also make it harder to live in ways that feel aligned with our values. This lesson helps students reflect on their personal values, examine how technology can both support and interfere with those values, and explore the connection between values-aligned choices and overall well-being. Research shows that this kind of reflection can also motivate teens to take more intentional control over their own tech habits.
