I've been a social studies teacher in New Jersey for the last decade. I've taught the gamut of classes offered in high school from AP U.S. Government to US History to World History. Regardless of the class, I've always tried to maintain an emphasis on civics and on current events. I've also always been a fan of educational technology, and I was an early adopter of many tech tools in my first years teaching.I write a blog about civics education, The Civic Educator, where I share civics resources and discuss education policy. Some of my favorite resources to share there are ed tech tools, like the iCivics games.
