Bio
Polly Conway is a writer and enthusiastic educator living in Oakland, CA. She's a published poet and journalist, and her writing about handmade and DIY culture can be found all over the Internet. Polly earned her BA in theatre at San Francisco State University, and completed her MFA in writing at California College of the Arts. She's worked with renowned non-profit Mentor Artists Playwright Program, helping Native American students write their own plays, and teaches art and craft classes to kids and adults. She currently teaches with Take My Word For It, an after-school creative writing program creating a safe and supportive environment for kids to explore their imaginations. Polly loves encouraging students to let go of their fears and is always amazed by the results.
