I am a Library Media Specialist for  Sylvan Elementary School in Bayport, New York. My passion is Information Literacy! I strive each and every day to create an atmosphere that inspires my students to become information literate. Our library is a technology rich learning environment for our students. With 30 laptops and a SmartBoard we are able to delve deeply into research and create amazing projects to showcase our learning. With district support, I was able to lead a team of librarians to create our Information Literacy Curriculum. It was board approved and used as a model throughout our local area.
