Bio
Chad's introduction to video games was Donkey Kong, the cartridge that came with the ColecoVision he received from Santa in the second grade. He's owned and enjoyed every major console and handheld gaming device released over the last 30 years and counts his lucky stars that he somehow found a career that requires him to play games every single day. Chad began his journalism career in radio after graduating with a bachelor's degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has gone on to contribute to prominent publications and media outlets in both Canada and the United States, including Parenting.com, DigitalTrends, Gamezebo, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. When he’s not writing and editing game reviews for Common Sense Media, he's the game blogger for the Globe and Mail, Canada’s newspaper of record. During off hours, he can often be found exploring wild frontiers of Red Dead Redemption or introducing his young daughter to the wonders of interactive entertainment, including New Super Mario Bros. Wii and the LEGO games.
