Bio
I have been a teacher for the last 15 years. I began in the classroom as a 6th grade teacher, then 3rd grade and then 5th grade for about 5 years. Afterwards, I received a Masters in Instructional Technology, and my principal encouraged me to teach in the technology lab. For the last 7 years, I have worked at the same school teaching technology to Kindergarten through Fifth grade. I love working with students and think technology is such an integral part of their lives. With all the changes and advances in technologies and resources available, I feel like I can never stay up-to-date. Over the past five years, I attended Pace University, and received a Doctorate in Computing for Education Professionals. I am also an adjunct professor at Touro College teaching teachers how to integrate technology within their practice.
I had a baby a year ago- and my professional career at the college level has been put on hold. It's too time consuming to do both :( And I would pick teaching the younger students over the adults any day!
