Teaching for 28 years I have obtained a plethora of student learning experiences. For the first 13 years of my career, I taught secondary students who were categorized as mentally impaired and physically handicapped. I have taught general education since, including 6th, 1st and currently 2nd grade. I am also an instructor at a local university in the college of education for the special education department. My knowledge of students, through experiences, has enabled me to provide instruction utilizing Universal Design for Learning to assure learning for all students.
