I am an artist and teacher of media arts at Newcomers High School in Long Island City, NY. Newcomers is designed to serve recent immigrants to the United States and works with this population representing about 30 countries and 40 languages. In this environment, images and technology take a vital role in supporting student learning.

I have been a writer and trainer of the NYC "Blueprint for the Moving Image" and give frequent workshops to teachers about using media arts in the classroom. Furthermore, I have had the honor of being chosen to write and present the National Core Standards in Media Arts which have been recently released at the National Arts Education Association conference in San Diego, CA.

I have recently joined the NYC Graphite Accelerated Educators group.
