Bio
This school year, 2014-2015, marks my 19th year of teaching. I am excited to get to spend another year at Springfield Senior/Junior High as the 7th-8th grade Computer Technology teacher. Prior to teaching at the Junior High, I taught 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade. Most of these years I had a self-contained classroom where I taught all of the subjects. In the fall of 2008, I switched to math only. In 2007-2008, I also spent two semesters teaching technology at the University of Akron.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Malone College. A few years later I went on to get my Master of Arts in Education concentrating on instructional technology from the University of Akron.
I grew up in Springfield Township and my parents still live in the community.
I am married to Mrs. Lane and have two daughters. Rebekah is 9 and Amara is 6. I never run short of pictures of my two princesses. Stop by lab to take a look for yourself.
Outside of school I volunteer at my church as a Compassion International Church Team Leader and in Born In Our Hearts Adoption and Foster Care ministry. I speak up for children in poverty through Compassion International and for children needing a forever family through Born In Our Hearts.
Whether it is my girls at home, the students at school, or the kids in need, children are a passion to me and my life revolves around the children of this world.
