I began my teaching career in 1995 as an elementary Art teacher outside Washington, DC, after leaving my small town home in upstate New York. After teacher there for 8 years, I moved a little further south to Richmond, VA, which I now consider home. I have been an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher for the past seven years, where I focus on creative ways to incorporate technology into teacher's lessons (you can't take the art teacher out of me!). I am still active in creating art (photography and painting), in my spare time.
