Bio
2014-2015 will be my sixteenth year of teaching! I graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma City University with a BA in Elementary Education. I currently teach Technology Applications and Computers to kindergarten through 5th grade students at Parkview Elementary (Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD). I am an Edmodo Ambassador, a Common Sense Certified Educator and Common Sense Graphite certified, a DEN STAR, and a participant of DENSI 2014. I truly believe that I am lucky to have as my vocation, my avocation... teaching! I believe that EVERY child has the capacity to learn... but not every child learns in the same way or at the same rate. It is my responsibility (and my joy) to help children learn to interact with the world through technology. I update my lesson page weekly and my students access lessons that are creative, innovative, and constructive while covering topics (including but not limited to) digital citizenship, internet research, keyboarding skills, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), digital images and graphics, multimedia presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint), audio manipulation, and Web 2.0. Students are encouraged to use my website to enrich and supplement their general education classroom education by incorporating topics with interactive lessons, games, and activities.
