For more than fifteen years, Alicia Carter has been working as a teacher in California schools. She has experience in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade elementary classrooms, taught Middle School Math for 5 years, and is currently serving as an adviser and workshop leader for K-8 homeschooling families. Alicia has also worked as a provider of professional development in the areas of literacy and English language development and is a Teacher Leader with Area 3 Writing Project, a California Writing Project site and affiliate of the National Writing Project. With a multiple subject teaching credential and a minor in math, there's no subject she doesn't love to explore and teach! Alicia is also a certified National Writing Project teacher! When she isn't developing lessons and exploring educational technology, Alicia loves to sing, play the piano, and read, read, read!
