Vicky Gannon is a writer and editor with a background in the visual and language arts. As an educator, she has worked with all levels of students, from preschool age to adults. She has developed curriculum and after-school learning programs focusing on creative expression for at-risk youth and served for several years as an adult literacy tutor through the Oakland Public Library's Second Start program. Concerned with the overlaps between creativity and digital literacy, she is interested in emerging technologies and the ways they can expand students' understanding of the world. She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Mount Holyoke College and a master's degree in visual and critical studies from California College of the Arts.
