My Take

I think this website is a great primary source when teaching about the Holocaust. It allowed my students to get online, read, see, and understand the events that took place during World War II. The website is very easy to navigate and understand. Whether teaching in a whole group setting, small groups, or allowing to students to work individual, this website offers many opportunities to learn and understand the holocaust. I feel this website is the best place for students to really view and feel what happened during this time.

How I Use It

I used the United States Holocaust Memorial website to help my students understand this time during World War II. The website provides primary sources for the students to view to help them gain an understanding of what happened during the Holocaust. I used this website to help teach propaganda, for timeline creation, photo narratives, and for teaching about genocide. The website is rich with information and resources. The lessons are easy to use, navigate, and understand.
