My Take

This is a basic tool that does exactly what it's name says. This is not something that will radically change the classroom; most teachers have other strategies they already use to monitor and control noise levels.

How I Use It

My classroom frequently includes small group work. I do not expect them to be silent, but it does get loud quickly. I have an Apple TV in the classroom, so I am able to project the app. The students like the creative images. However, sometimes they are distracted by watching the screen instead of doing their work. It is not something I use frequently, but I know I have the option if the noise level prevents the students from learning or accomplishing the task.
