My Take
Toca Band allows students to mix beats and sounds together for their very own song. Toca Band is a fun and easy toy that encourages children to explore music in a new creative way!
With Toca Band you can play together with students and experiment with sounds, beats and rhythms in lots of fun ways.
How I Use It
We try out new band combinations, explore different sounds – and allow the students to be very creative. It is used as a reward system. it also teaches teamwork.

A simple music mixer for children.
Different songs would be a great addition to this app- as it is the music gets redundant.

Fun app with some educational value
This fun app is versatile because it allows students to select different creatures to add to a "band" who each add their own unique sound to the song the band is singing/ playing. It is very engaging for students, and mine often choose it during free tech time. It is limited in what it presents, but sometimes that is a plus as my students don't get distracted by many features.

A unique app that music-loving students will adore
I use this app with students with autism. This is a fun app that can be motivating to student who loves music. It's well-designed and can be used to help students generalize a couple of different skills. I rated it as a two because it's only a small group of students who are motivated by it. For those students who are motivated by it, there are few skills that can be taught well using the app.
