My Take
Overall, I think Thinglink is an extremely useful resource for the classroom. It definitely adds a certain visual appeal to the communication process. That being said, I wouldn't categorize it as transformative. In most cases where I have used it, I really see it as substituting for another form of communication. (This reflects my engagement with the product...it is quite possible someone else has used this in a revolutionary way). While it adds a dynamic to disseminating information, it comes back to how it is used. I would love to see it embedded in self-published ebooks as an interactive infographic.
How I Use It
Thinglink is great for creating interactive reference material for students, or to have students create their own. I have combined Thinglink with Wordle, linking to resources and making vocabulary a little more engaging. It would be fun to have students work together to create an interactive periodic table, linking to videos and information to explain the elements.
